Larissa’s passion is to help and support people, assisting them to be happy and independent. Her caring nature and commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of others have driven her career choices as a caring caller and companion in the community.
For the past 5 years, Larissa has worked at a small boutique Retirement Village, closely engaging with the residents. During her time there, she developed strong bonds and gained valuable insights into their needs and preferences. She cherishes the relationships she has built and decided to expand these services to people in their homes, believing that personalised care, including in-home companionship, can significantly enhance quality of life.
Before her tenure at the Retirement Village, Larissa worked at a Neurological physiotherapy practice. The clinic catered to individuals with neurological conditions such as Stroke, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, concussions, and spinal cord injuries. This experience equipped her with a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals with complex health needs. She also has experience with people with dementia, showcasing her versatility and empathy in providing support. Additionally, Larissa understands the importance of practical assistance, offering cooking and cleaning help as part of her home companionship services.
